December 2011 A
jolly review for Proverbs from Mike Wood at Queensbuzz.com ! Unity
Stage Theatre's Figgy Pudding Fest, December, 2011: ...A
couple of couples reciting some pretty funny sayings like, “if you want to be praised,
die” or “if you want eternal criticism, marry”or “a good husband is
healthy and absent.” There are plenty more, but in keeping with the holiday
spirit I’ll leave you with one more, “a dog has no possessions, but is
seldom dissatisfied.” http://www.queensbuzz.com/figgy-pudding-short-play-fest---cafe-marlene-cms-854

BY THE SEA, a new children's show, receives its world premiere at The Looking
Glass Theatre in NY! Directed
by Julia Martin Saturday:
12pm and 2pm Sunday:
2pm and 4pm. http://thelookingglasstheatre.homestead.com/
From
the Looking Glass Theatre--A patron review of Three by the Sea: "This
was a great show for the kids. My three children were completely captivated by
the three stories. Even
my three-year-old, who typically doesn't stay quiet at the movie theaters, was
focused and engaged. The
stories and the actors were great. The adults could be heard laughing
throughout, so it really was a show for the entire family."
"A delightful and funny trio of short plays, wonderful characters, beautifully inventive lighting and sets. Loved the magical realist puppetry as well. Lots of fun all in all!" - Audience comment posted on Theatermania.com.
